Records: Big Daddy Kane - Long Live The Kane 12"s

"Now, the name Kane is superior to many people;
It means King Asiatic Nobody’s Equal.
I hate to brag, but damn I’m good!
And if mics were a gun, I’d be Clint Eastwood.
And if rap was a game, I’d be MVP:
Most Valuable Poet on the M-I-C.
And if rap was a school, I’d be the principal.
Aw fuck it, the Kane is invincible.
To be specific, I may die one day
But my rhymes will remain like a heiroglyphic.
It’s a certain special skill, that takes much practice.
I got it good; apparently you lack this.
So in turn, sit back and learn,
Listen close, this is for your own concern.
Let me show ya, exactly how it’s properly done:
Lights, camera, action!"

Sir Jinx produced Del demo tracks from back when he was rollin' with Da Lynch Mob. This is all late 80's material and all pre Hiero Del. Not sure if this was his actual demo tape, or a compilation of demos, but either way it's a must have for demo fiends (like myself) and Hiero fanatics (unlike myself).

Rap Treats #46: The D.O.C. "Bridgette" (Unreleased)

This was recorded during The D.O.C.'s No One Can Do It Better recording sessions in 1989. The song is about a "dumb ho" named Bridgette and was originally on the album, but then cut at the last minute. I'm not sure why though because it's dope. The D.O.C. rapping about a skewer, with N.W.A. on the ad-libs, over a Dr. Dre produced beat!

Records: De La Soul - Clear Lake Audiotorium EP & Buhloon Mind State 12"s

This was a promotional only 12" that is more like an EP. Four of the songs are from the Buloone Mind State album, but "Sh.Fe.Mc's" and "Stix & Stonez" were brand new tracks available only on this record. Plus it was on clear vinyl so it was extra fresh. I also included the "Breakadawn" 12" and the "Ego Trippin' (Part II)" 12" that had the unreleased Biz track. That's all the 12"s from Buhloon Mind State. You gotta love how De La went out of their way to give something extra on each single with the remixes and unreleased songs.

Records: Run DMC - Raising Hell 12"s

If you can think of a more important group to Hip-Hop culture than Run DMC then please let me know. Run DMC is THE greatest Rap group of all time (although my favourite is P.E.). BONUS Run DMC:
This is a youtube favorite of the one and only airing of Graffiti Rock back in 1984. Run DMC performs "Sucker MC's" and then has a fake battle against Kool Moe Dee and Special K. This shit is so watered down for TV it's almost funny, and dope at the same time.
